Twilight on the 18th anual MTV movie awards!!!

In the bestselling novel “Twilight,” seventeen-year-old Bella Swan and her beloved Edward Cullen live in a Washington city named Forks, surrounded by rainclouds, redwood trees and apparent normalcy. This weekend, Twilighters will find them amongst the sun, palm trees and gleeful insanity of the MTV Movies Awards.
“Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Cam Gigandet are the newest additions to the star-studded list of attendees for Sunday’s celebration of the best movies past, present and future. The trio will be walking the red carpet, appearing in MTV’s official pre-show, and rubbing elbows with the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Jack Black throughout the event, marking their first official publicity appearance on behalf of the highly-anticipated December 12th movie.
And in case the jaws of their die-hard fans aren’t already on the ground, get a load of this: MTV News will unveil the very first fully completed scene from “Twilight” during the pre-show! Not a teaser trailer, not behind-the-scenes footage, but a full-on completed action scene starring the three actors, exactly as you’ll see it on the big-screen next winter. OME, indeed.
At the risk of sounding like an infomercial pitchman: “But wait! There’s more!” Author Stephenie Meyer graced the MTV studios this week with her presence, and recorded an exclusive message for the “Twilight” fans. Meyer’s introduction will play during the pre-show, just before her movie’s first-look scene.
As if the very notion of “Twilight Tuesdays” hasn’t already driven the point home, the vampire franchise has converted many MTV staffers into Twilighters over the past few months.
The 18th annual MTV Movie Awards will once again be held live this year from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal Studios, Hollywood. The “Twilight” cast will be hangin’ with stars from such heavily-nominated flicks as “Juno” and “Superbad,” while they stake their own early claim on the 2009 show.
Be sure to tune in at (7:00 pm?) for the pre-show festivities. Immediately after the program airs, the exclusive scene will be uploaded for fans to watch (and watch, and watch…) at MTV.com and the MTV Movies Blog. […]
