VMAs

Hello everyone!
As we all know, Robert and Kristen are scheduled to appear at the MTV Video Music Awards tonight. Jerilee and I are getting ready to record and put up for download all of Robert and Kristen appearances tonight, but since we are on the West Coast, we need your help to know exactly when they appear so when it appears for us three hours later, we will be sure to catch everything. As you’ll recall, we were able to catch an extra-early interview with the two of them on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards because we were made aware of it by an East Coaster.
So if you would like to help us out, please turn on MTV a couple of hours before the VMAs air at 9PM, and comment here to tell us what time you see them, whether it’s on the red carpet or appearing in those promotional commercials for the show, or at the show itself. We would really appreciate it and it would make it easier for us to provide complete coverage of tonight’s events for all our visitors. Thank you so much!!

TWILIGHT NEWS

Movie News Flash!

So, many of you have heard that the release of the sixth Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, has been moved from this Thanksgiving to next summer. First and foremost, please know that this schedule change has absolutely nothing to do with Twilight, me, or Summit Films (so enough with the imdb death wishes, okay?). This is Warner Bros. decision, and it was not motivated by anything Twilight-related.

Now for the good news! Though we're all sad to have to wait for Harry Potter, this open spot at the theater creates a cool opportunity. The good people at Summit were thrilled to let me know that now Twilight fans are going to get their movie three weeks earlier than scheduled. That's right—Twilight will be released in theaters November 21st! Let the merry-making commence!

MESSAGE FROM STEPHENIE

"We only have a few days until the release of Breaking Dawn. To reward all of you for being so patient, I have confirmed exclusively with Entertainment Weekly one thing that happens in Breaking Dawn — and it will be posted at EW.com on Monday. As you all know, I'm against spoilers, but I know there is a desire for ANYTHING about the book. But please proceed to EW.com with caution. This is truly the only thing I am comfortable with being out before August 2nd, so this in no way gives anybody free reign to post spoilers. Let's keep the rest of the book secret — we can do it!" --Steph

BIG NEWS ON MTV TOMORROW

Big News Tomorrow on MTV!

Be sure to check out Twilight Tuesday at MTVNews.com (you can also get the news at MTV Movies Blog or on tomorrow’s TRL)! Larry “Made of Awesome” Carroll and the rest of the MTV crew will be announcing the plans for my Breaking Dawn events this August. We’re all really excited, because this is no ordinary tour! It’s going to be cool-beyond-my-capacity-to-comprehend, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I surely will!

A note of caution: Remember, when the news breaks, that you were warned. I told you that my The Host tour would be my last big tour, and I meant it. So, while these events will be easily the coolest I’ve ever done, there will not be nearly as many of them, and they will be my last for a long while. I’ve toured extensively in the past three years and I need to scale it back for my own mental and physical health. Don’t panic, though — if I’m not coming anywhere close to your town, we’re working on a way to make sure everyone can see the fun of the Breaking Dawn events!

The meaning behind the Breaking Dawn cover:

What I think it means:

1.the red (red representing warmth and blood) pawn in the background is Bella as a human. And the White (white representing cold and strength) elegant Queen is Bella changed into a vampire. that’s what i think it means.
2.I think it represents Bella’s strong love for Edward as the queen but she still has the small part of her that wants Jacob as a friend, although he’s stubborn.
3.I think the red pawn symbolizes an enemy of course, an enemy of Bella’s and the Cullen’s possibly, but I also think it’s someone we don’t know about yet. Either that, or it’s some *thing* that is threatening her. The pawn is behind the queen on the cover, so it may be something that is at the back of her mind, or something that is approaching that she is unprepared for or doesn’t see coming.
4.The white queen represents Bella, and the red pawn is Edward. In a game, the pawns protects the queen, even sacrifice themselves in the process. Simple as pie, if you think about for a minute!!!! Hello, the process of a chess game
5.hm … notice how the white queen is sitting on the black square and the red pawn is sitting on the white one? maybe its symbolising the fact that bella turning into a vampire (thus the white) has made the wrong decision? or maybe thats just what the red dude (mortals) think she did? or mayeb the red thing behind her is her overcoming the thirst?
6.i think it could be either:the red pawn is human bella, warm and meekand the white queen is vampire bella, pale, cold, and dominant
or:the red pawn is jacob, warm and threatening in the background, waiting for the moment to strikeand the white queen is just bella in general and her life as is

7.The red pawn in the background represents bella, BEFORE the transformation, its red cuz she is still alive with blood and all that. also, she’s a pawn because it is the weakest player on the board– just like her among the cullens, hales and volturi. The WHITE queen represents bella after she is a vampire, she is strong and white like marble. traditionally, chess pieces are marble and ebony, so marble holds true to stephanie’s description of the vampires. She is a queen, the strongest piece on the board, because she is a young vampire, so she is the strongest at this point. The reason the pawn is still in the background is because she still clings to the part of her that she left behind to become a vampire; her undying love and passion of nothing but edward, her love for Jacob and of course the love she felt for her other friends and family. (not that she doesnt love them anymore, but thier blood has become more enticing than thier presence)
8.I think the white queen represents Edward and the red is Jacob. here is my theory, the white is up front so it is therefore the dominant piece and it is also a higher ranking piece, while the red is just a simple pawn and in the background, so i think its how Edward became the dominant piece of the puzzle in bella’s life.

Twilight on the 18th anual MTV movie awards!!!

In the bestselling novel “Twilight,” seventeen-year-old Bella Swan and her beloved Edward Cullen live in a Washington city named Forks, surrounded by rainclouds, redwood trees and apparent normalcy. This weekend, Twilighters will find them amongst the sun, palm trees and gleeful insanity of the MTV Movies Awards.
“Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Cam Gigandet are the newest additions to the star-studded list of attendees for Sunday’s celebration of the best movies past, present and future. The trio will be walking the red carpet, appearing in MTV’s official pre-show, and rubbing elbows with the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Jack Black throughout the event, marking their first official publicity appearance on behalf of the highly-anticipated December 12th movie.
And in case the jaws of their die-hard fans aren’t already on the ground, get a load of this: MTV News will unveil the very first fully completed scene from “Twilight” during the pre-show! Not a teaser trailer, not behind-the-scenes footage, but a full-on completed action scene starring the three actors, exactly as you’ll see it on the big-screen next winter. OME, indeed.
At the risk of sounding like an infomercial pitchman: “But wait! There’s more!” Author Stephenie Meyer graced the MTV studios this week with her presence, and recorded an exclusive message for the “Twilight” fans. Meyer’s introduction will play during the pre-show, just before her movie’s first-look scene.
As if the very notion of “Twilight Tuesdays” hasn’t already driven the point home, the vampire franchise has converted many MTV staffers into Twilighters over the past few months.
The 18th annual MTV Movie Awards will once again be held live this year from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal Studios, Hollywood. The “Twilight” cast will be hangin’ with stars from such heavily-nominated flicks as “Juno” and “Superbad,” while they stake their own early claim on the 2009 show.
Be sure to tune in at (7:00 pm?) for the pre-show festivities. Immediately after the program airs, the exclusive scene will be uploaded for fans to watch (and watch, and watch…) at MTV.com and the MTV Movies Blog. […]
